Central Alabama Firearms Training (CAFT) is a group of highly trained, certified instructors who focus on providing safe, effective, and affordable firearms and personal security training. Our goal is to develop YOUR skills to assist you in protecting yourself and your loved ones. We are dedicated to the rights granted to every law-abiding citizen of the United States by the Second Amendment.

2023 is gone. It was a tough year for a lot of reasons. Our economy, our government, our borders and the war ravaging Ukraine and the terrorists who attacked Israel. We are constantly fighting this administration that wants to limit our rights given to us by our constitution. We can see with our own eyes the consequences of an unarmed population. Due to the rise in violence we are witnessing, CAFT is shifting some of our focus. We are working with several religious groups to enhance their security and provide the vital training they may need to protect their flock. CAFT can work with you to train your security team to address the most common threats to your faith-based organization. When you seek any training, especially training that may save your life,
you should consider who is training you, their backgrounds and why they
teach the way they do! Our instructors possess a broad range
of professional backgrounds which they incorporate into every training
event. They come from our federal, state, and local law enforcement
agencies, military veterans, hunters, and competition shooters.
They are mothers, fathers, sons and daughters. They have
certifications from the FBI, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center,
the National Tactical Officers Association, and the NRA. All instructors hold
multiple NRA certifications and have a passion to help others obtain the
knowledge necessary to develop safe weapons handling skills necessary to

CAFT does not restrict our training to one discipline as we do not want to limit the skills our students are exposed to. We continually modify our courses blending the best practices we identify from our training, experiences, and backgrounds. We analyze incidents that effect our daily life and develop a plan that will allow you to achieve success. We view each student independently and we cater our instructions to each student to ensure they develop safe and effective skills that work for them. Our Courses are broader, more in depth and use the most advanced gear available compared to other training companies.

​Our Training for Church Security Teams utilizes the StressVest System on the actual Church grounds.
Security training consist of site evaluation, development and review of policies and procedures, situational awareness training and trauma training. We complete training with scenarios in YOUR facility utilizing the StressVest Training System. It allows simulated live fire using blanks. The weapons fire and cycle like an actual handgun, however there is no projectile. A laser emits to show accurate hits with a vibration or penalty notification in any environment without potential damage to the surroundings. Only StressVest allows engagement through a glass which is NOT possible using Simunitions or Airsoft. No special gear is required which allows for a more realistic response from both the student and role players.

The StressVest® system is the most advanced force on force training system available - it is the world’s first non-projectile, force on force, firearm tactical training system capable of creating stress through a pain penalty without fear of projectile injury for training law enforcement, military, security and corrections officers and civilians around the world. The system utilizes training firearms that fire a laser pulse which activates the StressVest® when it strikes center mass. Depending on the setting, the vest will either deliver a vibration or a safe, localized shock to the abdomen.
